Rally Update: Ramlila Maidan Begins Filling as INDIA Alliance Supporters Gather

The INDIA alliance rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan began witnessing increased activity as supporters started filling the designated seating blocks. According to ABP News reporter Pawan, announcements had begun from the stage to energise the crowd. Although the rally was scheduled to start at 12 PM, it was around 12:40 PM when senior Congress leaders were still leaving Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence at 10 Rajaji Marg. They were expected to reach the Minto Road crossing and then march on foot towards the venue, a journey that could take another one to one-and-a-half hours. Thousands of supporters had gathered, but the Congress target of bringing 10 lakh people onto Delhi’s streets did not appear to have been reached at that point. The ground, with an estimated capacity of 55,000–60,000, had only partially filled seating arrangements. Slogans such as “Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao” and “Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod” echoed across the venue, alongside demands for action against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Flags of several INDIA alliance parties were visible, while people in traditional and tribal attire brought cultural diversity to the gathering. Police permission for the rally was reportedly valid until 5 PM.
