Mahindra Achieves Highest SUV Sales Tally At 73,000+ Units In October 2026

The SUV sales of Mahindra hit a record 73,338 units in October 2026 as exports jumped 77 per cent and total vehicle volume reached 1.31 lakh units

Mahindra & Mahindra registered a new monthly SUV sales record in October 2026 as domestic volume reached 73,338 units. Its volumes increased 2 per cent from 71,624 units when compared to the same period last year as well. The company also posted its highest monthly automotive volume at 1,31,109 units – up 9 per cent year-on-year across SUVs, light commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and exports.

The record SUV tally came despite a relatively modest year-on-year increase during October. A better picture of Mahindra performance during FY27 emerges from the April-October numbers. Its domestic utility vehicle sales reached 4,31,480 units in the first seven months as against 3,69,194 units during the same period of FY26. The difference stood at 62,286 units with a 17 per cent increase.

Exports produced the most notable monthly percentage gain as Mahindra shipped 7,102 vehicles in October compared to 4,015 units a year ago with an increase of 77 per cent. Overseas volume for April-October FY27 reached 37,133 units against 24,318 units in the corresponding period last year – up 53 per cent. Three-wheelers also delivered a large increase during the month.

The local sales reached 17,632 units compared to 12,762 units in October 2025 – up 38 per cent. Its sales stood at 99,690 units over the course of seven months this FY compared to 66,340 units in FY26 with an increase of 50 per cent. Mahindra’s commercial vehicle volumes produced rollercoaster of a result across the two light commercial vehicle categories.

Its vehicles below 2 tonnes registered 4,383 units in October – down 4 per cent from 4,559 units last year. The 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne segment recorded 28,654 units – up 5 per cent from 27,182 units. The April-October numbers were positive for both commercial vehicle categories.

The LCVs below 2 tonnes reached 26,278 units – 23 per cent above the 21,441 units registered a year earlier while sales numbers in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category climbed 16 per cent to 1,63,380 units from 1,41,358 units. Mahindra states that the latter category also covers the Bolero Maxx PUP HD 1.9 and HD 2.0. As for PVs, Mahindra’s SUV volume stood at 74,904 units after export shipments were added to domestic sales. The XUV 3XO ZNG, its first CNG vehicle, was among the recent additions to its portfolio.
