7 new cars coming later this year, including locally produced and imported ICE, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric models

2026 has seen some major new car launches in India, including locally produced models such as the all-new Kia Seltos, all-new Renault Duster, Maruti e Vitara, Nissan Tekton, and Hyundai Bayon, as well as imports like the all-new Audi Q3, new Mercedes S-Class, and Volvo EX90. At least seven more major car launches are coming up in the next two months:

1. Mercedes GLC Electric

Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 EV

On 4 November, Mercedes-Benz will launch the EQC successor in India – the GLC Electric. The company assembles it locally from German-made CKD kits. It will offer only the range-topping 400 4MATIC variant, which packs 355 hp and 800 Nm of torque, reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 210 km/h. A 94 kWh NMC battery pack, which can be charged at up to 330 kW, gives it a WLTP range of 673 kilometres.

2. Denza Z9 GT

The Denza Z9 GT is a large shooting brake offered in plug-in hybrid and electric variants internationally, and it will be launched in India on 13 November. The plug-in hybrid variant, with 764 hp and 1,075 Nm of torque, hits 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and achieves a top speed of 260 km/h. The pure electric variant, with 1,140 hp and 1,210 Nm of torque, takes 2.7 seconds for a 0-100 km/h sprint and maxes out at 270 km/h. The plug-in hybrid variant offers an EV-mode range of 203 kilometres and a combined range of over 805 kilometres, both as per WLTP. The electric variant offers a WLTP range of over 600 kilometres.

JSW Motors will launch the Combat as its first car, a five-seat D-segment SUV with a plug-in hybrid system, in December.
