Political Attack: Tejashwi Yadav Targets Dhirendra Shastri Over Religious Remarks

Image: ABP Live

Bihar Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has criticised Dhirendra Shastri over his alleged remarks that appeared to differentiate between deities. Reacting to the controversy, Tejashwi said that comments creating divisions among gods were unacceptable and did not deserve forgiveness. He alleged that people who once tried to divide human beings were now attempting to create divisions in the name of God. Referring to the deity worshipped by his family, Tejashwi described the remarks as unforgivable and accused those making them of lowering public discourse for political gains. He also questioned the role of BJP leaders whom he considers political supporters of Dhirendra Shastri, demanding that they apologise publicly. His statement has added another political voice to the controversy, following criticism from Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. The remarks have brought the debate over religious statements and political reactions back into focus.
