Hanamkonda: BRS cadres and residents of Kondaparthy village in Inavolu mandal staged a protest in front of the Inavolu police station, condemning the arrest of several youths who had raised questions about village development.

According to locals, three youths from the village had questioned the State government on social media over why a road had not been laid to their village. Following this, the police arrested them and registered cases against them under Sections 296(B) (obscene songs or words in public places) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

BRS leaders and villagers squatted in front of the police station on Tuesday, demanding the immediate release of the youths and asserting that the cases filed against them for questioning village development were unlawful.
