Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy on Tuesday appointed nodal officers for every ward to ensure proper road sweeping, garbage removal and effective door-to-door waste collection, and strengthen sanitation management, field supervision and official accountability.

The orders will cover all circles in Malkajgiri, Uppal and LB Nagar zones and came into force immediately, a press release said.

These nodal officers must ensure the immediate resolution of sanitation shortcomings, garbage accumulation and waste-related complaints in coordination with the respective circle and zonal officials. Garbage Vulnerable Points must be specially monitored to prevent waste accumulation, according to orders.

The designated officers will perform these duties alongside their regular responsibilities. Zonal commissioners and deputy commissioners have been directed to continuously review their performance and ensure effective implementation of the orders, it said.
