Dubai: Indian expat’s 4-year wait ends with Rs 64 cr Big Ticket win
A Dubai-based Indian expatriate has won the Dh 25 million (Rs 64,18,88,500) grand prize in the latest Big Ticket draw held in Abu Dhabi, turning an ordinary shopping trip into a life-changing moment.
Meena Sareen, originally from Punjab, was announced as the winner of the Series 292 grand prize during the live draw on Tuesday, November 3. The former maths teacher, who has lived in the UAE for nearly 18 years, won with ticket number 304251.
Sareen was shopping at a mall with her husband when she received the winning call. Recalling her reaction, she said she was overwhelmed by the news.
“Right now, I’m shivering. I’m speechless and I can’t explain,” she said.
The homemaker revealed that she had been participating in Big Ticket for around four years. She had been purchasing tickets every month for more than a year, sharing the cost with two other people. The three will split the Dh 25 million prize.
Although the family has yet to decide how to use the winnings, Sareen said she intends to dedicate a meaningful portion towards charitable causes and supporting relatives in need.
“It is too early to decide exactly how we will use the prize money, but one thing I know for certain is that a meaningful portion will go towards supporting charitable causes and helping family members who are in need,” she said.

Indian expat wins Range Rover Velar
The latest draw brought another major win for an Indian expatriate. Kaja Thooliyath Mohammed Molla Thooliyath, who lives in Al Ain, won a brand-new Range Rover Velar through the Dream Car promotion.
He secured the luxury SUV with ticket number 025383.
Next Dh 25 million draw on December 3
Big Ticket has launched its November promotion, with another Dh 25 million grand prize scheduled to be announced on December 3.
Five consolation prize winners will each receive Dh 100,000 during the live draw. The weekly electronic draws will also award Dh 25,000 to four winners every week.
Participants purchasing at least one Big Ticket during November will be eligible for selection as one of three contestants in the December 3 live draw. Those selected will compete in the Big Spin on January 3, with each having a chance to win up to Dh 1 million.
The Dream Car promotion will also feature two upcoming giveaways, with a Nissan Patrol scheduled for December 3 and a BMW M440i for January 3.
Tickets are available online via the official Big Ticket website or at counters in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
