Bigg Boss 20 creates history, clocks 100 crore watch hours

Mumbai: The competition inside the Bigg Boss 20 house may be getting tougher, but outside, the show has a big reason to celebrate. Salman Khan’s reality show has crossed 100 crore hours of viewing on JioHotstar, adding a major milestone to its ongoing season.
According to figures released by JioStar, the season achieved the feat in under 60 days, becoming the fastest edition of the franchise to reach the mark. It had also registered the biggest opening day for a reality show on the platform when it premiered in September.
Fans cast over 350 crore votes
The craze goes beyond watching episodes. More than 350 crore votes have been cast this season, a 71 percent increase over the previous edition. The number of fans participating in voting has also grown by 48 percent.

The show’s overseas audience is adding to that momentum. Bigg Boss 20 has ranked among JioHotstar’s top five titles in the UK, Canada and Singapore. In the UAE, it has secured the No. 1 position on STARZPLAY.
Salman Khan thanks viewers
Reacting to the achievement, Salman credited viewers for their continued love and enthusiasm. “This milestone belongs to each one of you,” he said.
JioStar’s Alok Jain also highlighted that the show had reached the landmark with nearly half the season still remaining. The figures cover viewing on JioHotstar alone, excluding television audiences.
Closer home, Hyderabad is among the cities contributing strongly to the show’s viewership, alongside Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and others. Younger audiences are also playing a major role, with Gen Z accounting for 45 percent of watch time.
Bigg Boss 20 continues to stream round the clock on JioHotstar, giving fans plenty to follow beyond the regular episodes.
