Hyderabad: Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said the State government was working towards positioning Hyderabad as an international hub for fintech and global financial services.

He inaugurated the Hyderabad office of Singapore-based Artha Fintech here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Hyderabad had already established itself as a leading global destination for information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services. The government was now looking to leverage this strong technology base to expand into emerging sectors such as fintech, digital banking and global financial services.

He said the State government was focused on strengthening its industrial and technology ecosystem to attract global companies. It was prioritising world-class digital infrastructure, research and development in advanced technologies, and the development of a skilled workforce to meet the evolving needs of the financial services industry.

As part of its Telangana Rising–2047 vision, the government was committed to making the State a preferred destination for global investments, innovation and emerging technologies. These initiatives would further strengthen Hyderabad’s presence in the international financial services sector, Sridhar Babu said.
