Hyderabad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad, has deployed its AI-powered Suraksha system to monitor passenger crowds and regulate movement at Secunderabad Railway Station ahead of the Diwali and Chhath Puja rush.

The system alerts RPF and commercial staff about overcrowding on platforms, enabling them to take prompt action to prevent congestion and ensure passenger safety.

As part of the festival security measures, four holding areas with a combined capacity of 1,750 to 2,000 passengers have been created. Additional CCTV cameras are being monitored round the clock, while special queues have been introduced for crowded trains, including the Danapur Express and Falaknuma Express.

Additional RPF, RPSF, GRP personnel and Home Guards have been deployed at critical locations. Help desks have been set up on Platforms 1 and 10, and entry to the station premises is restricted to passengers holding valid tickets.

Quick Response Teams will remain on standby, with the RPF coordinating with the GRP and local police to handle emergencies and manage the festival rush.
