Newly engaged 19-year-old found dead while visiting grandmother
Kamareddy: A 19-year-old woman who left home without telling anyone was later found dead at the Gandhari Mandal headquarters in Kamareddy district on Saturday, November 7, in the morning.
The victim, who hailed from the Sikh community, has been identified as Aarti Kaur. The Kamareddy native lived in Hyderabad with her parents. She was visiting Gandhari, where her grandmother lived, to distribute wedding cards after her recent engagement.
According to reports, Aarti left the house on Friday night but never returned. A frantic search led to her body near a cell tower in the Angadi Bazar area. The body reportedly had injury marks.
DSP Srinivasa Rao, CIs Veeraiah Chowdary and Santosh, and SI Mahender rushed to the spot for investigation. Aarti’s body has been shifted to Banswada Area Hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered, and police are scanning CCTV footage to look for clues.
