AIMIM to work against BJP govt formation in UP: Asaduddin Owaisi
Muzaffarnagar: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday, October 25, said that his party will make every effort to ensure that a BJP government is not formed in Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking at a public meeting in Shamli district’s Kairana on Sunday, Owaisi said, “We will make every effort to ensure that a BJP government is not formed.” He also said that his party does not want to see Yogi Adityanath becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for a third term.
He added that if other opposition parties share this same objective, the AIMIM is ready to join hands with them.
Owaisi criticised the opposition parties for “failing” to raise issues of minorities and other weaker sections of society.
He also alleged that mosques were demolished and “half encounters” were continuing in the state under the BJP-led government, but the opposition parties were “silent” and not raising the issue.
