Salma Hayek recalls doubts over Frida as film turns 24

Actress Salma Hayek has recalled the challenges of bringing the biographical drama Frida to the screen as the film marked 24 years since its release on October 25, 2026. Commemorating the milestone on social media, Hayek shared glimpses from the film and revealed that many believed the project would never happen. She said Hollywood considered the story of Mexican surrealist artist Frida Kahlo too Mexican, intense, political and different to succeed. In September 2025, Hayek also paid tribute to Kahlo on the 100th anniversary of the bus accident that changed the artist’s life at the age of 18. She highlighted how Kahlo transformed her suffering into powerful art that continues to inspire through its themes of strength, identity and resilience. Directed by Julie Taymor, Frida received widespread critical acclaim for its portrayal of the iconic artist’s life and legacy. (ANI)

When Shah Rukh Khan admitted being possessive of Gauri Khan

Shah Rukh Khan once admitted to being extremely possessive of his wife, Gauri Khan, during the early days of their relationship. The actor made the revelation on the show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, where the host discussed their initial romance.
