Nazara Technologies on Monday reported a profit after tax of about Rs 35.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, against a loss of about Rs 34 crore in the year-ago period, as the gaming company clinched a "record quarter" in revenue.

For the second quarter of FY2026-27, the revenue rose 53% year-on-year to a record Rs 803 crore.

The EBITDA - earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, a measure of a company's operating profitability - grew 93% to Rs 120 crore, with the margin expanding 311 basis points to 14.9%.

Profit after tax from continuing operations was Rs 35 crore, compared with a loss of Rs 34 crore in Q2FY26.

Q2 FY27 is the first quarter to include Bluetile and BestPlay, consolidated from August 1. In their first two months, the two businesses generated revenue of Rs 329 crore, up 49%, and EBITDA of Rs 64 crore, up 64%, at a margin of 19.4% against 17.5%.

Gaming revenue grew 122% to Rs 656 crore at a 21.5% EBITDA margin, accounting for 82% of consolidated revenue.

Mobile gaming revenue jumped 167% to Rs 550 crore.

Among existing studios, WildWorks grew revenue 41%, Kiddopia 21% and Curve Games 27%, with Curve's EBITDA rising 61%.

"This quarter demonstrates the company we are building: a portfolio of high-quality games on a single, shared platform," Raymond A. Stauffer, CEO, Nazara Technologies, said.

He added: "Every game we launch and every studio we acquire benefits from proven capabilities from the outset, enabling us to scale faster and more profitably."

Stauffer, founder of Bluetile and BestPlay, became CEO on September 16. Mithun Sacheti, founder of CaratLane, joined as Executive Director on October 12, subject to shareholder approval, and Arun Agarwal joined as Chief Financial Officer on October 16.

Together, the team brings global gaming, operating and financial depth to scale Nazara's platform, the release said.
