Hyundai Bayon All Prices Revealed – Competitively Priced Against Rivals?

GaadiWaadi -
The Hyundai Bayon costs Rs. 9.99 lakh to Rs. 18.14 lakh across manual, iVT and dual-tone configurations
The Bayon carries a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh which immediately places it below several comparable petrol midsize SUVs. For instance, the Creta 1.5 MPi opens at Rs. 10.90 lakh, the Seltos 1.5 petrol at Rs. 10.99 lakh, the Victoris 1.5 petrol at Rs. 10.49 lakh, the Grand Vitara 1.5 petrol at Rs. 10.77 lakh, the Hyryder Neo Drive at Rs. 11.31 lakh, the Elevate at Rs. 11.80 lakh, the Kushaq 1.0 TSI at Rs. 10.69 lakh and the Taigun 1.0 TSI at Rs. 10.99 lakh.
The automatic comparison becomes more interesting from the Bayon HX5 iVT at Rs. 13.84 lakh. The Creta 1.5 iVT starts at Rs. 14.49 lakh, the Seltos 1.5 CVT starts at Rs. 13.39 lakh, the Victoris 1.5 petrol automatic starts at Rs. 13.41 lakh and the Grand Vitara 1.5 petrol automatic starts at Rs. 13.49 lakh. The Hyryder petrol automatic begins above its manual range and the Elevate CVT starts at Rs. 13.79 lakh.
The European turbo petrol rivals also sit directly inside Bayon territory. The Kushaq 1.0 TSI starts at Rs. 10.69 lakh and is sold with six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic gearboxes. The Taigun 1.0 TSI starts at Rs. 10.99 lakh and its automatic range begins at Rs. 13.80 lakh. Thus, the Bayon is positioned very close to both on price despite taking the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre route.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris is mainly relevant because its 1.5-litre petrol engine is rated at 103 PS and 139 Nm, compared with 115 PS and 143.8 Nm from the Bayon. The Victoris petrol range runs from Rs. 10.49 lakh and automatic versions extend over Rs. 17 lakh based on the trim level. The Grand Vitara follows a similar mechanical path and starts at Rs. 10.77 lakh with petrol automatics beginning at Rs. 13.49 lakh.
The Creta and Seltos create the toughest in-house and cross brand comparison because both offer the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engines with manual and CVT automatic options. The Creta iVT range stretches from Rs. 14.49 lakh to Rs. 18.83 lakh which puts several Bayon HX6, HX8 and HX10 derivatives directly inside Creta territory. The Seltos petrol-CVT range starts at Rs. 13.39 lakh and also reaches the upper end of this price bracket.

The Honda Elevate also sits very close to Bayon pricing. The 1.5 petrol manual starts at Rs. 11.80 lakh and the CVT begins at Rs. 13.79 lakh while the top-spec CVT reaches Rs. 18.40 lakh. The Hyryder Neo Drive takes a similar 1.5-litre petrol approach and opens at Rs. 11.31 lakh which keeps Bayon cheaper at the entry point but much closer once automatic and upper trims are considered.
The Bayon looks competitive from HX2 through HX5 where the Rs. 9.99 lakh starting point and Rs. 13.84 lakh iVT entry price keep it close to or below many rivals. The equation changes noticeably from HX8 upwards because those variants overlap with larger SUVs such as Creta, Seltos, Victoris, Grand Vitara, Hyryder and Elevate. At that level, the Bayon has to justify its price through equipment such as ventilated seats, powered driver adjustment, surround-view camera, dual 12.3-inch displays and Level 2 Pro ADAS.
