Alliance Sweep: BJP-JD(S) Wins All Four Karnataka Council Seats

The Congress has suffered a setback in the Karnataka Legislative Council elections, failing to win any of the four seats despite being the ruling party in the state. The BJP-JD(S) alliance secured all four seats, with the BJP winning three and the JD(S) claiming one. The BJP won the North-East Teachers’ Constituency, South-East Graduates’ Constituency and West Graduates’ Constituency. The JD(S) secured victory in the Bengaluru Teachers’ Constituency. Congress also lost a seat it had previously held, leaving the party without a win across all four constituencies. The results highlight a disappointing performance for Congress in these MLC elections, while the BJP and JD(S) consolidated their position in the Legislative Council contests. Congress had fielded candidates in all four constituencies but failed to open its account.
