Police Investigation: Accused Say Their Aim Was to Spread Fear in Bollywood

Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch is continuing to question the accused in the firing case involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. During interrogation, arrested accused Phool Singh and Rehan reportedly claimed that their intention was not to kill the actor but to spread fear across the Bollywood industry. According to their statements, Tiger Shroff was standing close to them during a football match, when no security personnel were present nearby. They claimed that if they had intended to kill him, they could have attacked him at that moment and escaped. The Crime Branch is verifying these claims and investigating who allegedly masterminded the incident. Meanwhile, sources have reportedly revealed that the Zigana pistol used in the firing was purchased in Amritsar, Punjab, for ₹2.5 lakh. The weapon and 20 live cartridges were allegedly arranged on the instructions of Anil Pandit, described as a close associate of the Vishnu Bhai gang. Investigators reportedly found that accused Kunal, Sumit and Jatin travelled to Amritsar with the money, left it at a designated secret location and collected the pistol and ammunition. However, the alleged supplier who provided the weapons has not yet been identified. The Crime Branch is now working to trace the supplier, establish the alleged network and identify others involved in the case.
