Freshworks acquires Israel-based AI startup Robusta Dev

SaaS major Freshworks has acquired Israel-based AI startup Robusta Dev, an incident intelligence engine that uses AI to investigate technology disruptions, identify root causes, and recommend remediation actions.

In a company blogpost, Freshworks said that this acquisition will strengthen Freshservice's capabilities, which is Freshworks’ IT service management platform, in incident management and IT operations. It bridges the gap between deep diagnostic intelligence, IT service management, and modern incident orchestration.

Nasdaq-listed Freshworks did not disclose the financial details of the deal.

Founded by Natan Yellin and Arik Alon, Robusta has been heavily optimised for large scale production environments. For many of its customers, even momentary reliability issues can cause a loss of revenue. Yet operating AI Agents at that scale is challenging because of the volume of alerts and the complexity of their systems. Robusta's technology allows customers use frontier intelligence to investigate their alerts, no matter the volume.

"LLMs are fantastic at troubleshooting incidents," said Natan Yellin, co-founder and CEO of Robusta.

"Our technology lets AI Agents do that effectively in large enterprise environments, where there are so many raw events that investigating each one individually would be exorbitant from a token cost perspective. We're incredibly excited to join Freshworks, which gives us the scale and platform to bring that experience to engineering teams everywhere, while keeping humans firmly in control of decisions that touch production."
