Hyderabad: The Future City Police busted an alleged milk adulteration racket by raiding a manufacturing unit at Pocharam village in Ibrahimpatnam, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, and arrested a milk vendor on Friday.

Officials seized about 100 litres of suspected adulterated milk, one litre of hydrogen peroxide and 35 kg of milk powder during the raid.

According to the police, Ande Srisailam (43), a local resident, allegedly mixed hydrogen peroxide and milk powder with milk and supplied it to customers across Hyderabad, posing a potential health risk.

Following a tip-off, the police team apprehended Srisailam and seized the adulterated material. The suspect and the seized material were handed over to the Ibrahimpatnam police for further action.
