Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Spotted Undisguised Ahead Of Launch

The upcoming Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 has been spotted undisguised for the first time, offering a closer look at the motorcycle ahead of its expected debut. Spyshots show the new cruiser in multiple colour options, including black, grey and blue, along with several differences from the existing Harley-Davidson X440.

The Sprint 440 is being developed with Hero MotoCorp and is expected to expand the partnership’s 440 cc range with a more traditional cruiser. While it shares its basic platform with the X440, the new motorcycle gets a distinct design and revised components to suit its character.

The Sprint 440 features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round headlamp and a single-piece seat with a deeply scooped rider section. Its handlebar is taller and swept back towards the rider, giving it a more relaxed-looking riding posture than the X440. The fuel tank graphics vary across the spotted motorcycles. The black version features prominent Harley-Davidson lettering, while Sprint branding is visible on the side panel.

The rear section also appears to have been redesigned, with a different seat profile and tail section. The motorcycle gets alloy wheels with machined detailing, upside-down front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Disc brakes are visible at both ends. The exhaust muffler has a different shape from the X440’s unit and features a metallic heat shield.

The spy images also reveal revised switchgear and a different instrument console backlight. These changes suggest that Harley-Davidson has made adjustments to the rider interface, although the exact display specifications and functions are yet to be confirmed. The Sprint 440 appears to retain a circular instrument pod. Its final feature list, including connectivity and riding aids, remains unknown.

The Sprint 440 is expected to use the X440’s 440 cc, single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox. In the X440, this engine produces 27 hp and 38 Nm. Harley-Davidson has not confirmed the Sprint’s output figures or whether it will receive a different state of tune.

Hero MotoCorp is expected to manufacture the motorcycle in India. A global unveiling at EICMA 2026 has been anticipated, while its India launch is expected to follow in 2027. Official pricing and specifications are yet to be announced.
