Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise Department’s District Task Force (DTF) team seized 1.80 kilogram of ganja from a Bihar native during a special operation in Hyderabad’s Quthbullapur.

The personnel of the Prohibition and Excise DTF team jointly conducted the operation and apprehended the suspect, identified as Kuldi Prasad. During the operation, the officials recovered the ganja allegedly in his possession.

Following the seizure, the suspect, along with the contraband, was handed over to the Quthbullapur Excise Station for further action, Excise Sub-Inspector R Praveen said.

The excise officials are investigating the source of the ganja and determine whether the suspect was involved in its transportation or distribution.
