RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said the INDIA alliance rally at Ramlila Maidan has received support from the general public. He stated that opposition parties have united to protect the country, its Constitution and democracy. Referring to the alleged attempts to weaken democratic institutions, Tejashwi said those who try to suppress democracy do not remain in power forever. He had also participated in the INDIA alliance meeting and the mock Parliament session, where a symbolic public impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner was discussed. Meanwhile, a large gathering of opposition supporters was visible near Minto Bridge and the Connaught Place entrance. Workers carrying Congress, Samajwadi Party and Left organisation flags had assembled alongside saints and religious figures who had come in support of the rally. The crowd was waiting for senior INDIA alliance leaders to arrive in specially modified open-top buses. According to the on-ground report, the leaders and supporters were expected to proceed together towards Ramlila Maidan as part of the opposition's show of strength.
