Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700 will be assembled in Kolhapur ahead of customer deliveries from Q2 2027

Italian two-wheeler brand Italjet will make its official India debut at India Bike Week on December 4 and 5, 2026 as Motohaus plans three Dragster models for the country: the Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027 and the official India waitlist will open in December.

All three models will be assembled at the Motohaus manufacturing facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Motohaus will handle local assembly and related quality processes at the plant  based on Italjet engineering and design developed in Italy. The Dragster 700 sits at the top of the India-bound range and it uses a 698 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin kicking out 68 hp at 8,000 rpm and 67 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

A six-speed gearbox, hydraulically actuated wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive handle transmission duties. It comes with a tubular steel trellis frame, adjustable Marzocchi USD fork and adjustable Marzocchi rear shock incorporating Italjet ISAS suspension adjustment. Brembo braking consists of twin 270 mm front discs and a 260 mm rear disc. The 15-inch wheels are wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear Pirelli tyres.

Seat height is at 815 mm while the wheelbase measures 1,550 mm and the fuel tank holds 16 litres. Other highlights are ABS, traction control, a colour TFT, LED lighting and an Akrapovič twin-exit exhaust. The Dragster 300 takes a very different mechanical route. Its 278 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 23.8 hp at 8,250 rpm and 26 Nm at 6,250 rpm – paired to a CVT and dry centrifugal automatic clutch.

The scooter uses Italjet Independent Steering System at the front plus a hydropneumatic shock absorber featuring spring adjustment. Rear suspension uses a linkage-actuated trailing arm design offering 120 mm of vertical travel. Brembo calipers act on a 240 mm front disc and 175 mm rear disc, backed by ABS. Tyres measure 120/70 ZR12 at the front and 140/60 ZR13 at the rear. The Dragster 300 has a 770 mm seat height, 1,345 mm wheelbase, 11-litre fuel tank and 128 kg wet weight excluding fuel. A TFT display and full LED lighting are also standard.

The Dragster 459 sits between those two machines but has its own drivetrain concept. Its 449 cc liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin makes 46.9 hp at 9,500 rpm and 41 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The six-speed transmission can operate automatically or respond to handlebar-mounted paddle controls. Fully adjustable Marzocchi USD forks sit at the front and the rear uses an adjustable Marzocchi shock alongside Italjet ISAS.

Twin 270 mm Brembo front discs join a 260 mm rear disc, ABS and traction control. Both wheels measure 15 inches shod in 120/70 ZR15 front and 160/60 ZR15 rear Pirelli tyres. Seat height stands at 815 mm while wheelbase measures 1,540 mm, fuel capacity at 16 litres and wet weight excluding fuel stands at 180 kg.

Indian visitors and media are getting an early look at the three models at EICMA 2026 in Milan ahead of their domestic unveiling. Motohaus has planned dedicated Italjet retail centres in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Hyderabad in the first sales stage. The outlets will handle product display, servicing, after-sales support and trained sales staff for the brand.
