RE Flying Flea S6 Electric Scrambler Revealed, Launch Set For Next Year

The Flying Flea S6 builds on the C6’s architecture and features an off-road mode, Fleaware.OS, a round touchscreen and scrambler-based equipment

Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea has revealed the S6 electric scrambler ahead of its planned launch early next year in India and global markets. The motorcycle uses the lightweight architecture developed for the C6 but gets equipment better suited to broken roads, dirt sections and recreational trail riding. Dart Yellow and Lightning Grey will be the two colour choices available.

It comes with a large wire-spoke front wheel, smaller wire-spoke rear wheel and block-pattern tyres. Gold-finished upside-down front forks sit beneath a high-mounted yellow mudguard and the long enduro-style seat runs nearly flat towards the tail. The blue frame stays exposed around the central battery and motor assembly with much of the structure visible.

The centre section uses a large black battery enclosure featuring horizontal ribbing. The electric motor sits low in the chassis and chain final drive is visible at the rear. Small side panels, an exposed subframe and minimal rear bodywork keep the motorcycle visually slim. Yellow detailing on the wheel rims also ties the lower half of the motorcycle to the tank and seat graphics.

The cockpit features a circular colour touchscreen mounted directly above the handlebar clamp. Fleaware.OS runs the interface and displays speed, battery charge, estimated remaining distance and other riding information. In addition, it also gets a compact handlebar layout and a minimal instrument housing that suits the round display.

The FF S6 also gains selectable rider modes in addition to an exclusive off-road mode developed for use away from paved surfaces while a host of electronic rider aids will also be present. Up front, it uses a round headlamp beneath a compact yellow cowl, tall mirrors and an upright handlebar. The high front mudguard, long seat, wire-spoke wheels and block-pattern tyres establish the scrambler theme from front to rear.

Flying Flea describes the S6 as the rough-road member of its lightweight electric motorcycle family. The high torque motor, enduro-styled seat, off-road mode and scrambler elements will be amongst its unique highlights.
