Market Rally: Sensex Soars Over 1,400 Points As Indian Markets Open Strong

Image: ABP Live

The Indian stock market opened with a sharp rally, with the Sensex surging by more than 1,400 points, while the Nifty also recorded significant gains. According to the report, the rally was driven by a combination of global developments, including the reported setback for Donald Trump in the US midterm elections and a steep decline in crude oil prices. Crude oil reportedly fell by 8.7% in a single day, a development viewed as positive for India because the country relies heavily on imports to meet its oil requirements. Another factor supporting market sentiment was increased buying by foreign investors. Foreign institutional investors reportedly invested ₹7,284 crore on Wednesday, adding to the positive momentum. The report also linked the Democratic Party’s electoral gains in the United States to hopes of reduced geopolitical tensions and fewer risks of future conflicts. These developments contributed to optimism among investors, leading to a strong opening across Indian equity markets. The market rally reflected the impact of global political developments, lower oil prices and foreign investment flows on domestic investor sentiment.
